01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the vibrant heart of Málaga’s Centro district, Casa de Vinos La Odisea is a remarkable restaurant and wine cellar that caters thoughtfully to gluten-free and vegan diners, as well as devoted wine enthusiasts. This charming establishment is much more than a dining spot—it’s a sensory journey into authentic Spanish flavors paired exquisitely with carefully curated wines.

The cuisine here artfully blends traditional Andalusian tapas with a modern, health-conscious twist, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking delicious, inclusive options. Though the menu details are not extensively listed, customer favorites such as the smoky, perfectly crisp papas bravas baby and the richly layered paella stand out as highlights, both praised for their vibrant flavors and impeccable execution. Each dish bursts with fresh ingredients and thoughtful seasoning, creating a memorable taste experience that complements their extensive wine offerings.

Step inside Casa de Vinos La Odisea, and you’re immediately welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. The indoor ambiance delights guests with cozy charm, while the outdoor seating provides a tranquil setting overlooking lush gardens—a perfect place to savor your meal or enjoy a glass of wine as you unwind. Whether visiting after a cultural outing, such as the nearby Pompidou Museum, or retreating here for an intimate lunch or evening gathering, this spot feels like a relaxing oasis in bustling Málaga.

The staff at La Odisea truly elevate the experience. Reviewers sing high praise for their attentive, personable service, with special mentions of Paco and Gema—two servers known for their warmth, expert wine recommendations, and genuine care in helping guests navigate the menu despite language barriers. Their friendly professionalism ensures every guest feels valued and guided toward the ideal meal and wine pairing, creating a personalized and comfortable dining experience.

For wine lovers, La Odisea is a treasure. It operates as both a wine cellar and an exclusive wine club, offering an expertly selected range of local and international bottles by the glass or bottle. Guests are encouraged to explore new varietals and vintages, enhancing their meals or simply enjoying the rich tradition of Spain’s wine culture in an intimate setting. The fairly priced offerings make it easy to indulge without hesitation.

In summary, Casa de Vinos La Odisea is a splendid destination for foodies and wine aficionados who appreciate thoughtful, inclusive cuisine paired with exceptional wines and heartfelt hospitality. Whether you are seeking a gluten-free or vegan meal, a cozy spot for tapas, or a friendly place to discover new wines, this Málaga gem promises an unforgettable experience that will have you returning time and again.

We love this restaurant! The food is delicious. The setting is LOVELY!! And the service is warm and friendly. Our server, Gema, was friendly, helpful and so cheerful! She helped us make great choices for our dinner. Plus she was very patient with our lack of Spanish. So far our best meal in Malaga!

Thanks Paco for being a great host yesterday. The place is so relaxing, outside ambient has a great view overlooking the gardens, but the inside ambient is what delighted me the most. Go ahead, have drink and a snack, the prices are fair, you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped for a light lunch, we had 2 salads, both delicious with a couple of glasses of wine. A little pricier than our usual lunches but well worth it (just under €20 per head). Situated above a busy roundabout but a great place to watch the world go by. Service by Paco & Laura excellent. Would recommend & we will return.
